VoltDiary ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using VoltDiary, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

This policy complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the Data Safety requirements and User Data policy.

TL;DR: VoltDiary is fully offline. All data stays on your device. No personal information is collected.

VoltDiary collects only the following data, stored exclusively on your device:

Charging session timestamps (start and end time)
Battery level percentage at start and end of each charging session
Charging session duration
App preferences (theme mode)

We do NOT collect:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, address)
Location data (GPS or network-based)
Device identifiers (IMEI, serial number, advertising ID)
Financial information
Contacts, photos, media files, or documents
Biometric data
Network usage or browsing history

Section 3

How We Collect Data

All data is collected automatically through the Android BatteryManager API and stored locally using Hive database. The app listens to battery state changes via standard Android broadcast intents. No manual data entry is required.

Purpose of Data Collection

Data is used solely for:

Calculating your Charging Habit Score (0-100)
Generating charging analytics and visualizations
Providing personalized battery health insights
Identifying harmful charging patterns (overcharging, deep discharge)
Displaying charging history timelines

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage Only: All data stored on your device using Hive encrypted local database.
No Internet: The app does not request or use the INTERNET permission.
No Cloud: No servers, cloud databases, or remote processing.
No Third-Party SDKs: No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
No Accounts: No account creation or login system.
Full Offline: The app functions completely offline.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

VoltDiary does NOT share, sell, transfer, or disclose any user data to third parties. The app has no internet access capability, making data transmission impossible.

Section 7

Data Retention & Deletion

Data is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. You have complete control:

Clear all data from Settings > Clear All Data
Uninstall the app to permanently remove all stored data

Children's Privacy

VoltDiary is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information, making it safe for users of all ages.

App Permissions

No special permissions are required for battery monitoring. The app uses the standard Android BatteryManager API which is available to all apps without any permissions.

No other permissions are requested. We do NOT request INTERNET, LOCATION, or STORAGE permissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated within the app through the Settings screen. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
